Holy Guacamole!


I was sent home with a boat load of avocados grown in beautiful Southern California. Besides guacamole - which is pretty much heaven all by itself - what do you like to do with your avocados? Come on readers, shoot me your ideas! Thanks Scott!

I love avocado simply spread on some sourdough bread with a little salt - so simple, but so good! I also really like it in my omelets or cut up into some salad. My boyfriend doesn't like avocado (!) so that just means more for me!

My idea would be to just throw it away. There is pretty much no food I hate more than avocado. I realize I am in the minority here, though.

Order your favorite Pepporoni Pizza. Get it home. Slive the Avacado into thin slices and put it on. Do not cook the avacados. I know this sounds so weird (pepporni & avacado) but its soooooo good.

Also, i know this sound soooo weird but its soooooo goood. Vietnamese Avacado Shakes. Don't ask me why the flavors work.. They just do

akes about about 2 1/4 cups, enough to serve 2 or 3

1 ripe medium avocado (6–8 ounces)

1 cup ice (8 ice cubes)

1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk

1/4 to 1/2 cup milk

blend until smoooth.

I use avocado on alot of things, in omelets, on sandwiches, in my salads or just plain. I love them. One of my favorite foods.
